Overview

Pructon was engaged to undertake the mechanical fabrication and installation of all equipment associated with the Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade. This project involved the installation of essential mechanical equipment, including pipework, valves, and pumps. With a crew of over fifteen personnel, Pructon effectively managed and delivered the installation process through to the commissioning phase of the plant.

Scope of Work

  • Offsite Fabrication: Fabrication of piping and structural components conducted offsite to streamline installation.
  • Piping and Structural Steel Installation: Installation of piping and structural steel throughout the facility.
  • PTA Tie-in: Connection of the original plant to the new IDEA tank.
  • IDEA Tank Installation: Installation of all pumps, valves, pipework, and structural steel, along with client-supplied items such as aeration grids, pen stops, and stop boards.
  • UV Building Installation: Installation of UPVC and HDPE piping, including valves, pumps, and structural steel, along with client-supplied UV units and sampling stations.
  • Chemical Dosing System: Installation of all tanks, UPVC piping, structural steel, and surface treatment for the chemical dosing system.
  • CIP & Back Pulse Tank: Installation of all piping and associated fittings for the CIP and back pulse tank.
  • Service Water System: Installation of all piping, valves, and pumps for the service water system.
  • Blower Room: Installation of blower equipment, pipework, and lagging, as well as the commissioning of the blower units.
  • GDD & TWAS Pumping Station: Installation of client-supplied items, including pumps and pipework.
  • Centrifuge Unit: Installation of the centrifuge unit and all associated mechanical equipment.
  • Hydrotesting: Conducted hydrotesting of all underground and above-ground piping to ensure integrity and safety.
  • Commissioning: Completed the commissioning of all systems and equipment.
