Pructon has been commissioned by John Holland Group for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) project, a significant initiative by Sydney Water located within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. This project marks a milestone in sustainable infrastructure development.
The Upper South Creek AWRC is more than a wastewater treatment facility; it serves as a visionary bioresource hub for the Western Parkland City community. Featuring integrated co-digestion facilities, the project aims to foster a circular economy amidst the region’s rapid expansion.
Pructon’s pivotal role in the project centres on the Inlet Works Mechanical Installation. This involves the supply, fabrication (undertaken at Pructon’s Gladstone Workshop), delivery, and on-site installation of critical piping, structural steel, and mechanical components essential to the project’s success.
Leading the project is Matt Priddle, Project Manager at Pructon, whose extensive experience and technical expertise will ensure a seamless project execution.

Scheduled to commence onsite works in late July 2024, with fabrication currently underway, the project is anticipated to be completed by mid-2025. With mechanical workshops in Gladstone and headquarters in Brisbane, Pructon continues to lead in providing innovative solutions for the Mining, Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, and Power sectors.
